Traditional Painting - Still life with Peonies

It was time to open that Pandora's box, in which there are several tubes of oil paint. One would think : "No big deal, almost everybody use oil paint." Perhaps in every household hangs at least one oil painting, even just a little landscape as an inheritance from grandparents. ... That is true, but not to be fooled by seemingly common media, is in place. Whether before or after I touched it for the first time, the only possilbe way to approach this medium is with respect.

Už bylo na čase otevřít tu Pandořinu skříňku, v které se nachází několik tub olejových barev. Jeden by si moh myslet: "Vždyť vo nic nejde, trocha voleje, ten přeci používá kdekdo." Snad v každé domácnosti visí aspoň jeden olej, ikdyby jen malá krajinka po babičce. ... To je sice pravda, ale nenechat se zblbnout zdánlivou všedností tohoto média, je na místě.  Ať už předtím anebo potom, co jsem na něj poprvé šáhla, se k oleji stavím jen jediným možným způsobem, s respektem.
